Headline Accounts works with small to medium-sized companies to provide accurate data processing of all financial transactions. Headline Accounts offers a straightforward, easy and reliable bookkeeping service.
Our clients send us (daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly) – via email, Dropbox or Google Drive – their paperwork such as invoices, bills, timesheets, receipts, bank statements etc. These are entered using the clients accounting file or online login to calculate income, expenses, payroll and to process reconciliations. From here, various reporting can be produced such as profit and loss reports as well as monthly reports and BAS lodgements. We liaise with our client’s accountant and provide them with everything they need at the end of the financial year.
As a Certified Xero Partner we are able to entitle our clients to a 20% subscription discount with Xero. We are also able to set up the client’s Xero file from scratch, setting up invoice templates, payroll and bank feeds so that they are good to go with the operation of their business.
We prefer an “accounts@” email address to be setup from the client’s domain so that they own all the emails and data from this email address. Depending on the client’s personal preference, a unique Dropbox or Google Drive folder (cloud storage) is created and shared with the client. This means that they can access financial reports, timesheets, insurance certificates, last quarter’s BAS etc whenever they want. As more businesses are wanting to remove paper and go 100% digital we create an online file structure.
Well-kept records can save a business valuable time and money.
SNAPSHOT BIO
Catherine has been working in accounts since 2006, starting when she moved from Adelaide to Sydney. She fell into accounts while working at a film school and then fulfilled a dream by working in accounts in the live music & events industry, loving every stressful moment! A seachange saw Cat move over to animation production (her uni degree put to some use) but she started to do freelance accounts for past employers on the side. Within a blessed short amount of time word spread and more people asked for her number-crunching help. After juggling full-time animation production, festival production and bookkeeping for two years, Cat made the sole trader leap and pursued bookkeeping full time at the start of 2012, setting up Headline Accounts and becoming a registered BAS agent. Catherine moved to Auckland in early 2016, retaining all of her Australian clients.
